OUR HISTORY
Thousand Oaks Foursquare Church has been a light in our town and a place of hope for many lives since 1960. The church became known as The Shepherd’s House in 1991. From The Shepherd’s House’s origin, under the service of Pastors Dan and Bev Sneed, to today, under Pastors Leaf and Joanie Zwerling, God has been doing great things.
When we came to Shepherd’s House in June 2008, we recognized there would come a day when we would outgrow our original property at 95 N. Oakview Drive. In 2014, we began to look at potential new properties. During this time, our church council and leadership team were praying and preparing for the next steps into a new church home.
By faith, in the spring of 2015, we put our original property on the market. The next year, we found our new property and accepted Manna Conejo Valley Food Bank’s offer to purchase our original property. The Lord’s goodness and merciful grace carried us through the time of escrow and the build out of our new property at 2348 Townsgate Road.
We celebrated our first service in our new and expanded property on April 23, 2017 and there is much more to come!
