Complete Satisfaction
“Being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”- Philippians 1:6
With one month in the books for 2022, how are you doing with the important decisions and new disciplines you began the year with? I want to encourage you to continue to focus and grow. Let’s display greater determination for the things we determined needed to look different in our lives and the areas we wanted to be better at this year.
There is something so satisfying about completing a goal, a task, a major chapter in life. I can remember the sense of accomplishment and fulfillment that came when I earned a master’s degree. Not only was I one of the only members in my family to reach that level of education, but completing seminary was a key step in advancing in and answering the call to ministry. I also remember how amazing it was to launch our church’s Faith App Class in 2018. This four-week class delivered such a sense of joy when the first batch of attendees completed the course. I can still feel the satisfaction of handing a special gift and certificate of completion to each individual.
There is something so special about continuing in our faith and growing as followers of Jesus. When we determine to seek God in such a way, by studying His Word and staying in-step with His Spirit, we will see change, maturity, and fruit. In Colossians 2:6 Paul writes, “So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in Him.” This week we are starting a new discipleship class that I super excited about. This Wednesday at 7:15 pm we launch Transform School: A class all about Jesus! Through a deep dive in the Gospels, meaningful discussions, and developing a personal mission statement, we will take focused, determined steps in activating, advancing, and articulating our faith.
Would you consider adding Transform School as one of your goals, focuses, and disciplines for stepping into the NEW God has for you in 2022? Let’s go for it, get the job done, gain joy, and grow in ways that are beyond measure!
