Most Wonderful

For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on His shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”- Isaiah 9:6

It’s the MOST WONDERFUL time of the year! As we enter the month of December and Christmas 2021, let’s make the most of the beautiful and powerful gifts Jesus delivered when He came to the Earth to dwell among us (John 1:14). Christmas is not just a time to rejoice, it is a time to receive!

This Christmas, God is wanting us to believe for more and not wait until December 25th to open the gifts He gives with our names on it. Making the most of our fellowship and faith in God is something that can be done, because we do it in other areas of life:

- The number of days we make leftovers from the Thanksgiving feast.

- The number of sites and stores we shop at on Black Friday and Cyber Monday to get the best deals.

- When a family member or friend is visiting California for the first time, we take them to the beach, famous spots, and In N’ Out.

- In celebrating Christmas, we put up the decoration as early as possible to enjoy the season as long as possible.

Let’s lean in, embrace, and thoroughly enjoy the wonder of Jesus! There is so much more to believe for, experience, and receive. Psalm 42:1 says, “As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for You, my God.” And Jesus tells us in Matthew 6:33, “But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” Let’s make the most of this season. Let’s make the most of our time with God. Let’s make the most of each day. Let’s make the most of our faith walk. There are gifts of joy, love, peace, and strength that are available to us today, every day, and forevermore.
