Need More Time?

The sun stopped in the middle of the sky and delayed going down about a full day. There has never been a day like it before or since, a day when the Lord listened to a human being. Surely the Lord was fighting for Israel!”- Joshua 10:13b-14

One of my favorite movie scenes is from “The Hobbit” as Bilbo Baggins faces off with Gollum in a game of riddles with the highest of stakes. After a few rounds, Gollum poses a riddle that Bilbo has no answer for. As he is frantically rummaging through his mind for an answer, with his adversary ready to pounce, Bilbo cries out, “Give me some time”. Unknowingly this last-minute request was the exact answer to the riddle.

TIME IS PRECIOUS. It is the one commodity everyone has been given the same amount of. Psalm 90:12 says, “Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.” In a world that is fast-paced and constantly changing; in our personal lives filled with daily demands, deadlines, and to do lists, we need God’s help when we are feeling rushed and His wisdom and strength to make the most of every moment.

Do you need more time? Our Saturday 5 pm Service may be the perfect answer! As we have moved into this new season as a church family, there is a blessing and something better we have discovered about gathering on Saturday. There is a SWEET RHTYHM and RELIEF of STRESS on this new day and time to encounter God, embrace faith, and experience the new.

Saturday is an excellent choice if you…

- Are not a morning person.

- Work on Sundays.

- Need a day to get ready for the start of work/school on Monday.

- Have a calendar filled with activities and family gatherings to attend.

Our Saturday service still has elements that are key to our faith, our connection, our serving, and reaching our community. In Ephesians 5:15-16 Paul invites us to set our faith alarms, “Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil.” Give Saturdays a try and get ready for the great time and new grace God has in store for you!
