Out of Stock

Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angels, praising God and saying, ‘Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom His favor rests.”

- Luke 2:13-14

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas! Houses are beautifully decorated, carols are playing everywhere, Christmas performances are taking place, cards/family pictures are filling mailboxes, and the weather forecast will make the southland feel a bit more like a winter wonderland.

One thing, however, making Christmas feel a bit different is the number of items already out of stock or on backorder. In a world driven by supply and demand, the system is malfunctioning. When the pandemic began it was toilet paper flying off the shelves. Now it is computer chips for cars, oil, and even Amazon can’t always deliver next day results. In a world running on empty, we can rest assured that God’s Peace never runs out! Peace was the very gift delivered when Christ was born. It was announced by the angels, extended by the Savior, and received by humanity. In Ephesians 2:14, 17 says, “Christ Himself is our peace…He came and preached peace to you who were far away and peace to those who were near.”

There is a shortage of peace in our world today. People are anxious about the economy and world events; people are afraid of getting sick; people are becoming increasingly angry with one another over every issue under the sun. The good news this Christmas is that the perfect gift of peace is available for all. Peace is not produced on assembly lines, it is possessed by those who open their hearts and hands to God almighty! He provides peace for our daily cares, for the fears we have about the future, for the struggles in this world, for the ability to have access to and approval from Him. Romans 5:1 tells us, “Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.

If you are struggling to find peace, you don’t have to look far, you don’t have to work harder, and you don’t have to wait until tomorrow. His peace is being delivered to your doorstep, on time, and with a full supply for the season you are in and any struggle you are facing. May peace be the best gift we receive this Christmas. Jude 2, “Mercy, peace and love be yours in abundance.
