Saturday Night Faith

Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.”- Acts 2:46-47

The Early Church got it started off so right! They were birthed into new life in Jesus, they were connected through a common faith in Jesus, and they endured through an overcoming strength in Jesus. Not only did they endure hardships and hateful opposition, but they joyfully multiplied along the way. The believers in that time knew the key to their success was belonging to Christ and being connected to one another. Paul shares his heart for the church in Colossians 2:2, “My goal is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love…

One of the things I shared in last Sunday’s message is that in times like these WE NEED MORE TIMES TOGETHER. The last year and a half has been a whirlwind that has confused, discouraged, scattered, and divided people. Almost every sector of life has felt a stretching and splintering. People are hurting over loss, divided over views, and looking for clarity for tomorrow’s unknowns. The time has come for the Body of Christ to unite not divide, to wake up not slumber, to be called to action not idleness, to exhibit joy not murmuring, to grow and not shrink back.

It is time that we get back to the priority and consistency of living a life in Jesus marked by undivided faith, united fellowship, and unmatched fruitfulness. I am excited to announce that beginning on October 2nd we are adding a 5 pm Saturday Night Service. We wanted to provide another opportunity to gather and grow together. We know that some are unable to attend Sundays due to work schedules and family activities. We also believe that opening our doors more will welcome people in our community just coming to Jesus and those looking for a church home. Personally, I am invigorated with the idea of spending more time with the people of God in the presence of God. Hebrews 10:25 commands us, “Do not give up the meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.” Because Jesus is coming back, we need to be coming together!

In addition to the new Saturday Service, we will also be promoting connection and community through our Faith App Class, Men’s and Women’s weekly groups (in-person and online), video content, group text threads, and one on one meetings. Isolation and idleness are done! Living in unity, joy, and increase is here!
