Vision Month

And the Lord answered me: ‘Write the vision; make it plain on tablets, so he may run who reads it.”

- Habakkuk 2:2

September is one of my favorite months! School has begun, football is about to kickoff (Go Dolphins), and this month is our launching point into the heartbeat and mission God has for our church family for the year ahead. Vision month is HERE, and it is time to HEAR the special things God wants us to believe for, focus on, and step into!

Having clarity of vision is incredibly important in helping us to better understand God’s purposes and better navigate the seasons of life we find ourselves in. Over the last year or so I have taken to wearing reading glasses. It was a pretty significant change for me, as I have always had 20/20 vision. The glasses have provided me an ability to see clearly, confirming my natural sight is fading a bit and in need of assistance. In the same way, the Lord wants to open our eyes to see His truth, promise, and impossible possibility! 2 Corinthians 5:7 tells us to change the way we look at things, “For we live by faith, not by sight.”

Over the month on September our Sunday celebration service gatherings will include worship, prayer, powerful teaching of God’s Word, and sharing the “NEW” and “EXCITING” God wants to release in and through us. Vision month will be a time for us to…

- Introduce a new mission statement= A People for Jesus, in Community, and on Mission

- Unveil the 2022 Theme

- Choose new church council members

- Map out a four-stage Discipleship Pathway

- Share exciting Outreach Opportunities

Even with the vision we see, receive, and believe for our corporate body, our prayer is that the Lord will release fresh focus, new life, and immovable hope to you at a personal level. May the Holy Spirit speak and show you things that are clear and concrete. May it lead you, encourage you, and strengthen you for the current season. May Paul’s prayer in Ephesians 1:18, “That the eyes of your heart may be enlightened,” be released this month with awesome answers from the Lord above and a resounding “amen” from us!
